Artists who are interested in applying for an exhibition in the W.K.P. Kennedy Gallery should provide a proposal package for the consideration of the Gallery Officer and the gallery's programming committee. The programming committee meets once yearly on the Saturday in October prior to Thanksgiving, but submissions are accepted year round.
The package should include fifteen to twenty images of current work, a corresponding documentation sheet, and a curriculum vitae. As well you may provide an exhibition proposal. (e.g. If you plan to exhibit work based on a particular theme, or a collaborative exhibition, multi-media, etc.), a brief artist's statement, reviews and catalogues from previous exhibitions. You should also include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for the return mail.
The W.K.P. Kennedy Gallery serves its community by providing a balanced program of contemporary and historical art. Programming is planned approximately twelve to eighteen months in advance.

The WKP Kennedy
Gallery is currently seeking submissions for exhibitions of artwork for its
2016-17 programming season. As the only public art gallery in North Bay,
Ontario, the WKP Kennedy Gallery is dedicated to showcasing art of all forms
and media, created by artists at a variety of professional stages.
Artists
who are interested in applying for an exhibition in the W.K.P. Kennedy Gallery
should send a proposal package in
hard-copy, by mail for the consideration of the Gallery Officer and the
gallery's programming committee. The programming committee meets annually, but
submissions are accepted year round. Programming is planned approximately
twelve to eighteen months in advance. Artists are paid in accordance with the
CARFAC Fee Schedule.
Proposal
packages should include:
1. artist
statement
2. curriculum
vitae, or biography of the artist(s)
3. exhibition
proposal if you plan to exhibit work based on a particular theme, or if you are
proposing a group exhibition
4. 15 - 20 images
representing a recent body of work or specific project (image files should be
in JPEG format of 2MB maximum on disk or USB key)
5. corresponding
image list including artist name, title, dimensions, medium and year
6. reviews or
catalogues from previous exhibitions (optional)
7. self-addressed,
stamped envelope for the return of your materials. Without a self-addressed,
stamped envelope, the gallery will not return submission packages and will
dispose of submission materials appropriately.
