Surrealist North

Ron Caper

March 21 - April 9, 2009

Surrealist North Ron Caper?s photography and ?photo-painting? reflect his close relationship with and intimate knowledge of the boreal forest in which he has lived and worked for thirty-five years. As a log home designer and builder in Northwestern Ontario, Ron carried his camera along with his chain saw into the stands of tall red and white pines. These exotic northern spaces are his daily haunts.

Ron is grateful to Ansel Adams for helping him see in monochromes and to Walter Macfarlane for doing the same in colour.
