Stories From The Sea

Various Artists

February 10 - 20, 2004

The "Stories From the Waves" exhibit at the W.K.P. Kennedy Gallery features a mysterious painting washed up on the shores of Lake Superior, an image that may or may not be the Chief Commanda by Angus Trudeau, and several strong images of disasters at sea by maritime artist and printmaker, David Blackwood.. Running concurrently with an interactive exhibit called Titantic at the North Bay Museum, "Stories from the Waves" is a thematic exhibition of paintings, etchings and drawings that sheds light on our obsession with bodies of water as scenes for tragic, mysterious and adventurous stories.
