Opening for Leonard Brooks, A Regional Retrospective + Remember When by Alice Sawicki

Friday, September 7, 7-9 pm

Join us at the WKP Kennedy Gallery to kick of the 2012-13 season with the opening reception for two new exhibitions -- Leonard Brooks, A Regional Retrospective in the Gallery II Main Space and Remember When by Alice Sawicki in the Gallery I Space.

About the exhibitions:

War artist and one-time North Bay resident, Leonard Brooks passed away this past year at the age of 99. Brooks started the famous Mexican art colony at San Miguel de Allende and lived in North Bay after moving to Canada from England. This Regional Retrospective in the Gallery II Main Space will feature works from several collections in the area and from a travelling exhibition of Brooks' works organised by the Edward Day Gallery in Toronto

Remember When is a touring art exhibition of new works in watercolour and mixed media in the Gallery I space, which promises to be a nostalgic and exciting trip down memory lane with artist Alice Y. Seguin Sawicki.
